Concave Ported Barrel Shroud S&W® M&P® 15-22

The SL2 is a barrel shroud designed to fit the Smith & Wesson® M&P® 15-22 with a standard 16-inch barrel. The Kineti-Tech series of barrel shrouds are designed to give the "suppressed SBR" look while still having a full length 16 inch barrel. In this configuration the shroud's rear will sit within a 1/4-inch from the dust cover. This shroud is a three-piece design, featuring a threaded front cap, a threaded body, and back-end plug. The back end plug can be pushed in completely flush or may be slightly out to get a closer fitment to the dust cover. All shroud caps and tubes are interchangeable if you wish to create a custom, one of a kind barrel shroud for your rifle. This shroud was originally designed to be installed onto a Smith & Wesson® M&P®15-22 but will fit any rifle that meets fitment specification requirements.

Installation Recommendations
• It is highly recommended and strongly advised that all parts be installed by a Licensed Gunsmith to ensure proper fit, function, and safe operation.
• This shroud measures 1.5" OUTSIDE DIAMETER. If you are attempting to tuck the shroud under your handguard be sure that the INSIDE DIAMETER of your handguard exceeds 1.5"
• A locking agent such as Rocksett or Loctite is recommended for threaded portions of shroud assembly and installation.

Just the look I was hoping for
The shroud changed the profile of the weapon completely. Fit and function are perfect and installation was simple. I see a few more of these in my future.

Excellent product
Purchased a 15-22 concave ported version. The machining and finish are superb. Very well done for an item in this price range. The look and fitment are perfect. The finish is a great match for the typical finish on an AR barrel or S&W 15-22. Not too shiny or dull, just right. Length is spot on as well. Comes to about 1/16 of the handguard endcap and looks just right. Only negative I have found is it comes lose easily. i tried thread lock but that melts away during firing. I am now trying some o-rings which have worked well on its first outing with them (1 was not enough). The o-rings slipped on between the crush washer and the Shroud. Hopefully will hold in the same manner as they are used between the shrouds caps and body. I am not sure of the size as I had them left over from some project. but they are a tight fit on the barrel and about 2mm thick. I would not let that bother anyone as the shroud is incredibly well made. Adds some heft at the front end to help mimic my full Ar's in feel. And just visually set the gun off. One of my favorite additions to this gun I have had for a few years. I couldn't recommend it enough!

Game changer...
Changed the overall look of my mp15. People at the range where asking if they could try my gun and where they could get one. I'm building a couple of ARs and defenetly considering implementing one of these to a build. MUST HAVE

Put this in my AR. Just sick. All eyes on me at the range yesterday. I must have had a dozen people ask where I got it. Real head turner. A must have PERIOD.
