Description

The MBS3 is a barrel shroud designed to fit the Smith & Wesson® M&P® 15-22 with a standard 16-inch barrel. The Kineti-Tech series of barrel shrouds are designed to give the "suppressed SBR" look while still having a full length 16 inch barrel. In this configuration the shroud's rear will sit within a 1/4-inch from the dust cover. This shroud is a three-piece design, featuring a threaded front cap, a threaded body, and back-end plug. The back end plug can be pushed in completely flush or may be slightly out to get a closer fitment to the dust cover. All shroud caps and tubes are interchangeable if you wish to create a custom, one of a kind barrel shroud for your rifle. This shroud was originally designed to be installed onto a Smith & Wesson® M&P®15-22 but will fit any rifle that meets fitment specification requirements.

NOTE: The shroud cap portion is a muzzle brake style cap and will extend past the crown of your barrel 1.75 inches. The same length as an A2 flash hider.

• Through Hole: .375" (for .22, .223/5.56mm, 9mm)

• Finish: Black Anodized


Installation Recommendations

• It is highly recommended and strongly advised that all parts be installed by a Licensed Gunsmith to ensure proper fit, function, and safe operation.
• This shroud measures 1.5" OUTSIDE DIAMETER. If you are attempting to tuck the shroud under your handguard be sure that the INSIDE DIAMETER of your handguard exceeds 1.5"
• A locking agent such as Rocksett or Loctite is recommended for threaded portions of shroud assembly and installation.

    I received this and immediately installed it. I understand that the item is merely cosmetic however it looks badass on my my M&P15-22.

    Adapter and shroud for my 22 couldn't have been easier to install. Overall finished look is so much better than the stock unthreaded barrel that came out of the box.

    The shroud arrived faster than expected, was in perfect condition, and screwed onto the barrel easily and quickly. (Having that how-to video on the website was a bonus, even though it's pretty intuitive.) Anyway, I posted a photo and within minutes a friend said, "I have that same gun, but mine is not as intimidating as yours." Ha! Mission accomplished!

    This barrel shroud fit perfectly on the S&W AR 15/22. The install was smooth and simple, no tools needed. I'll be ordering additional custom AR-15 shrouds in the near future.

    Best I have seen, but only one I have really owned. The compensator works GREAT, and even directs the sound of the report AWAY from the weapon handler, giving it a silencing effect.

    Great shroud, does a great job keeping the front end down during rapid fire/double taps. Very nicely machined and fits on the 1/2x28 threads perfectly. The shroud also makes the gun stand out and look better.
